The females wasp lay their eggs inside newly laid moth eggs. As the wasp egg hatches it consumes the host egg, developing inside the egg case. It emerges as an adult thus distrupting the moth lifecycle. The wasps only affect the eggs, and has no effect on existing caterpillars or adults.
Targets various caterpillars including the European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis), cabbage moth (Mamestra brassicae) and the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera), however it tends to be more efficient where groups of eggs are laid together.
Use as part of an integrated approach in combination with pheromone monitoring to detect the presence of adult moths and to time sprays of Lepinox (Bacillus thuringiensis).
Width 0.0000 Activity / Control Many moths, although it tends to be more efficient where groups of eggs are laid together.
