Fargro announces relocation move

Fargro announces relocation move.
Littlehampton-based horticulture supplier, Fargro Ltd, has today (30th May 2013) submitted plans to Arun District Council to move from its Toddington Lane site to facilitate the recently approved North Littlehampton development.

The company, the largest horticultural wholesale supplier in the South East, is applying to Arun District Council for planning permission to build an 6,400 m2 warehouse with offices and 5,337 m2 of dry storage area, on a site to the south of The Vinery on the A27, half a mile north of Poling and approximately one mile north east of the current site.

Remaining in the Littlehampton area is essential to retain the company’s fifty plus local employees and for the company to remain close to its customer base.

Consultation meetings have been held with local residents living adjacent to the site and other stakeholders and these have helped formulate the plans.

The application will also provide improved road access to the Vinery industrial estate from the A27 and reroute existing delivery vehicles which currently pass neighbouring residential properties.

Company spokesman, Steve Carey said:
“Location is an important factor in Fargro’s success. Not only are we a local firm providing to local growers but the vast majority of our staff live locally too".  “Keeping such an experienced team together is not only important to our business but also to the local growers we supply”.

An overview of the application together with drawings can be accessed via this link. The detailed application with supporting reports will be available on the Arun District Council website
