Fargro News Update April 2004
Conserve - grower experience.

Jamie Downes, Oakheart Ltd. "CONSERVE is easily the best new insecticide introduced in many years!"

We are a 4 acre nursery in Leicestershire growing a very wide range of bedding and pot plants, both for our own Award Winning Garden Centre (Woodlands Nurseries - Winner of the Garden Centre Associations Best UK Garden Centre 2004) and other centres in the Wyevale group.

Because of the wide range of crops that we grow and the loss of several traditional chemical treatments for thrip control we have in the past faced rather major outbreaks of Western Flower Thrips on susceptible crops.

Since using Conserve as directed by Dr John Buxton (ADAS) with 3 applications at weekly intervals we have seen an astonishing decline in thrip numbers.

"This coupled with it's relatively low toxicity and ability to be used in conjunction with our program of beneficial predators is easily the best new insecticide introduced in many years!"
