suSCon Green and Axit GR - grower experiences.

Jayne Jose grows Nursery Stock in Bouldner near Yarmouth, Isle of Wight, and has been doing so for the past 15 years. Jayne runs the nursery with two full time staff, one of which is her husband Mike. Their main markets are the councils, local contractors and hotels on the island. Jayne pointed out that the landscaping element has increased by 20% over last year.
Jayne mixes all her own compost and uses suSCon Green on their shrubs to control Vine Weevil and has been doing so successfully for a number of years. Jayne stated that "suSCon Green has shown to be extremely effective on Azalea, Rhododendron, Camellia and all heathers".

Their herbicide programme using Axit GR is an important component in their containerised weed control strategy. Axit has proved to be a more effective product in the control of bittercress than the conventional products. Since using Axit GR in the programme this problematic weed has almost all but disappeared. Axit GR is used over all conifers and shrubs on the site, both outside and in the tunnels. Its effective control significantly reduces the labour costs in the cleaning of weeds around the nursery site.
